Ben Brenton Joins Snap-on as Vice President - Innovation

KENOSHA, Wis.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 26, 2007--Snap-on Incorporated (NYSE:SNA), a leading global innovator, manufacturer and marketer of tools, diagnostics and equipment solutions for professional users, announced today that Ben Brenton has joined the company as vice president - innovation for Snap-on Incorporated. Brenton will drive innovative products, solutions and processes across all of Snap-on's global businesses. The new position further demonstrates the company's commitment to creating the most valued productivity solutions in the world.

Brenton was most recently director of innovation for the Frito-Lay Convenience Foods division of PepsiCo. Prior to joining PepsiCo he spent more than 13 years at Kraft Foods in roles of increasing responsibility and scope. He has dedicated his time to creating brand equity and recognition for such well known products as Tropicana(R), Quaker(R), Kraft(R), StoveTop(R), Minute Rice(R) and Good Seasons(R).

Brenton holds a Bachelor of Science, Life Sciences degree and a Master of Microbiology degree from the University of Nebraska, and a Ph.D in Food Sciences and Nutrition from the University of Massachusetts.
