Snap-on Incorporated Announces Agreement Between Equipment Solutions Group and Ford Motor Company

KENOSHA, Wis. - August 16, 1999 - Snap-on Incorporated announced today that its Equipment Solutions group was awarded Ford Motor Company’s Rotunda Equipment Program business. Equipment Solutions will support Ford Customer Service Division’s Technical Service Organization by managing the facilitation of the Rotunda Equipment Program for Ford Motor Company and all of its global brands.

Under the new agreement, Equipment Solutions will assist Ford in facilitating Rotunda’s product procurement, product validation, distribution and administration of Ford’s approved dealer equipment program for Ford, Lincoln and Mercury dealerships worldwide. Ford Motor Company has 17,500 dealerships worldwide, 5,800 in North America. The program will offer a diverse range of products such as automotive diagnostics equipment, alignment systems, automotive lifts and shop equipment to meet the needs of every dealership’s service operations.

As part of the agreement, Equipment Solutions will ensure on-time order-to-dealer delivery of product, support Rotunda web site strategy through e-commerce and secure the support of all program suppliers.
